Message of Purpose

The Ligature Project is an idea that theatre lives everywhere, which includes theatre. The Project is designed to experiment with ways that bring the essence of theatre alive on the net. How do we use the unique setting of the internet to still provide an experiment that is enriching, purposeful, and connects the members of the community? The Ligature accepts the idea that by implementing enriching material through the internet using a variety of techniques, such as viral tactics, that the feeling of theatre can be reached through an online source. We live by a few rules that encompass the message that The Ligature hopes to present:

We will make theatre that is not boring and past ridden.

Theatre is of the many.

I relinquish all creative rights to my work.

There is not one right way to do something.

Even ad Art is Good.

Through viral tactics, we will create theatre that connects the internet community together.

Elaboration and interpretations on all work is encouraged to members of the internet community.

We will strive to make messages, derived from universal themes, that will relate and effect the global community.

The audience gets to choose what plays/scenes in the manner they choose.

All works run the risk of failure.

Bless the individual who can take a work of art I have made and make it better.

On top of everything mentioned here, this is a chance for anyone to expand on their passions or theatre, web design, graphic arts, journalism, and so on. The Ligature hopes to give you extra motivation to do what you love. There is always a place for anyone's creative talents.
